The much-anticipated trailer for Marvel’s Thunderbolts has been released, offering fans a first glimpse at the next ensemble film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Scheduled to hit theaters in May 2025, the film introduces a group of antiheroes embarking on a government-led mission, marking a darker, more complex chapter in the MCU.

The ensemble cast includes well-known characters and familiar faces. David Harbour returns as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen reprises her role as Ava Starr/Ghost, Julia Louis-Dreyfus continues as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, and Sebastian Stan is back as Winter Soldier/James Buchanan Barnes. They are joined by Wyatt Russell as John Walker/US Agent, Geraldine Viswanathan as Mel, Lewis Pullman as Bob/Sentry, Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova.

The Thunderbolts centers around a team of antiheroes, each with their own distinct abilities, who are recruited for high-stakes, secret missions. The film explores themes of power, redemption, and loyalty as the characters grapple with their troubled pasts and face uncertain futures.

Directed by Jake Schreier, Thunderbolts promises a blend of action, tension, and character-driven drama, making it one of Marvel’s most anticipated films of 2025.
