The BCCI Men’s Selection Committee has announced the 15-member Indian squad for the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh. Following the Test series, India will play three T20I matches in Gwalior, New Delhi, and Hyderabad. Fast bowler Mayank Yadav, who made a remarkable debut for Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL, has been included in the national team for the first time.
Mayank Yadav’s First Inclusion
The highlight of the squad is the inclusion of fast bowler Mayank Yadav, who impressed with his deadly bowling performances in IPL 2024. Along with him, Abhishek Sharma has returned to the squad, and wicketkeepers Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma have also been included.
Key Selections
In place of Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Rishabh Pant—who have been rested following the Test series—players like Abhishek Sharma, Riyan Parag, and Nitish Kumar Reddy have been brought in. Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, the Indian team will aim for victory in this series.
