A youth has been arrested by the South District Police for allegedly selling fake tickets to the concert of Punjabi singer Diljit Dosanjh, scheduled to be held in Delhi, and defrauding several people of lakhs of rupees.

The accused, Kaushik Raj alias Ankit (29), had dropped out of his B.Tech studies. After selling the fake tickets, Kaushik used the money to buy an iPhone worth ₹1.35 lakh and an Apple Watch worth ₹50,000. He also traveled to Bengaluru, Goa, and Mumbai, spending the fraudulent earnings at clubs and hotels.

According to South District Police Deputy Commissioner Ankit Chauhan, they received a complaint from a resident of Neb Sarai stating that Kaushik Raj had sold him 69 fake tickets for Diljit Dosanjh’s concert, set to take place in the last week of October at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi. Upon receiving the complaint, an FIR was registered, and an investigation was initiated immediately. The complainant informed the police that he was searching for tickets when a friend from Chandigarh gave him Kaushik Raj’s phone number, leading him to contact Raj for the purchase.
