West Indies secured a spot in the semi-finals of the Women’s T20 World Cup by defeating England by six wickets, thanks to an all-round performance from captain Hayley Matthews. In the semi-finals, West Indies will face New Zealand, while South Africa will take on Australia.
Matthews took two wickets with the ball and then scored 50 runs with the bat. She built a 102-run partnership off 74 balls with Player of the Match Kiana Joseph, who scored 52 runs. England posted a total of 141/6, but West Indies chased it down comfortably in 18 overs with four wickets remaining.
