Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara has clarified that there is no current consideration for changing the Chief Minister. Amid speculation about potential leadership changes, Parameshwara stated that while some Congress leaders are expressing aspirations for the Chief Minister’s post, no such change is on the agenda at this time.
The statement comes as Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s legal challenge against the Governor’s sanction for prosecution in the MUDA site allotment case is ongoing. Despite internal discussions and aspirations from senior Congress leaders, Parameshwara emphasized that the administration is running smoothly and any talk of leadership changes is premature.
The speculation has intensified with several Congress leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar and others, being mentioned as potential contenders. However, Parameshwara stressed that discussions about a leadership change are unnecessary and premature.
