In a revealing interview with Times of India TV, Palak Sindhwani, known for her role as Sonu Bhide in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, shared her distressing experiences with the show’s production team. She accused the makers of mistreatment and intimidation, stating that the pressure drove her to tears in her makeup room. Palak highlighted that despite her unpaid dues, the production house continued to demand her participation in the show.
Discussing her struggle, Palak addressed the controversy regarding her alleged exclusivity contract, asserting that there was never any discussion about such a contract. “As soon as I expressed my wish to leave the show in August, the exploitation began. They likely thought I wouldn’t wait until May to resign, so they started treating me unfairly,” she explained. The situation escalated when they accused her of violating a non-existent contract. Palak revealed that the emotional toll of the media coverage affected her deeply, yet she refused to remain silent. “I kept asking when I could officially resign. It was emotionally draining—I was hurt inside and mentally affected. I would cry in my makeup room and then pull myself together for the shots,” she admitted.
