Ghaziabad police have revealed that three politicians orchestrated the attack on Dasna Devi Temple, inciting people to gather and carry out the violence. Intelligence inputs have led the police to identify these individuals, and investigations are ongoing to gather sufficient evidence for strict action. The temple’s security has been significantly increased, with the number of stationed police personnel rising from 25 to 50.
The controversy erupted after Yati Narsinghanand made objectionable comments about Prophet Muhammad during an event on September 29, which led to protests. On the night of October 4, a large crowd gathered outside the temple, demanding action against Narsinghanand. When the police intervened, the crowd began pelting stones, leading to a tense situation.
Several leaders, including BJP figures, have condemned the attack. BJP MLA Nand Kishore Gurjar described the incident as an attack on Sanatan Dharma and praised the police for preventing a larger incident. He has even called for the encounter of those responsible for the attack.
The police are now monitoring social media and local neighborhoods to prevent further unrest. Intelligence reports indicate that the attack was part of a larger conspiracy involving the three politicians, who remained behind the scenes to avoid suspicion. Efforts are being made to gather evidence and ensure those responsible face legal consequences.
