Nayab Saini, the designated Chief Minister of Haryana, is set to take the oath for the second time as the Chief Minister today. The oath-taking ceremony will take place around 1:15 PM at Dussehra Ground in Panchkula. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the chief guest, and the event will witness the presence of Chief Ministers from 18 states.
Who Will Attend?
The Chief Ministers from various states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry (UT), Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, are expected to attend the ceremony. According to Arvind Saini, BJP’s state media in-charge, along with political figures, the event will also host athletes, industrialists, doctors, lawyers, and social workers. An estimated 50,000 people are expected to gather for the event.
11 Ministers Expected to Take Oath Alongside Nayab Saini
In addition to Nayab Saini, 11 legislators are expected to be sworn in as ministers. The potential ministers include Rao Narbir, Aarti Rao, Shruti Chaudhary, Ranbir Gangwa, Krishna Lal Middha, Ramkumar Gautam, Mahipal Dhanda, Anil Vij, Shyam Singh Radaur, Vipul Goyal, Moolchand Sharma, and Gaurav Gautam. There is also a possibility of Rajesh Nagar being included.
Unanimously Elected as Leader of the Legislative Party
Nayab Saini was unanimously elected as the leader of the legislative party on October 16. A meeting was held at the BJP office in Panchkula, with Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav acting as observers from the central leadership.
In this meeting, the party’s state president, Mohan Lal Baroli, handed over a slip with Nayab Saini’s name to MLA Krishna Bedi, who announced the nomination. The name was then supported by MLA Anil Vij. After seeking consensus from all legislators, Amit Shah declared Nayab Saini the leader of the legislative party. Following the announcement, Shah accompanied Saini to the Raj Bhavan, where they presented the claim to form the government to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya.
Preparations for the Oath-Taking Ceremony
The preparations for the ceremony are in full swing at Shalimar Ground in Panchkula:
1. Two Stages Set Up
There will be two stages at the event. Prime Minister Modi will be seated on the stage where the oath-taking will take place. Along with him, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and three other central ministers—Krishan Pal Gurjar, Rao Inderjit Singh, and Manohar Lal Khattar—will be present.
The other stage will host Chief Ministers from various states, Deputy CMs, BJP National President JP Nadda, state president Mohan Lal Baroli, all the legislators, and senior BJP leaders.
2. Committees and Officers Deployed
A total of 40 committees have been formed to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. The state government has appointed 35 IAS officers as protocol officers to look after the arrangements for the guests. Around 1,000 volunteers will also be deployed.
3. Special Blocks in the Tent
Eight different types of blocks will be created inside the event tent, where people from different categories will be seated. This includes drone operators, representatives from Khap Panchayats, progressive farmers, renowned industrialists, BJP officials, and party workers from the booth level.
4. Transport Arrangements
To facilitate the arrival of people from across the state, around 2,500 buses have been arranged. Roadways buses will be operating from every district to Panchkula, and additional private buses have been hired. District Deputy Commissioners have been tasked with overseeing this arrangement. Food will also be provided to passengers in these buses, with a designated manager in charge of each bus.
Nayab Saini’s Journey to Becoming CM
Born on January 25, 1970, in a humble OBC family in Mizapur Majra village, Ambala, Nayab Singh Saini has had a remarkable political journey. He completed his graduation from BR Ambedkar University in Bihar and later pursued law at Chaudhary Charan Singh University in Meerut. His political career saw a turning point when he was associated with the RSS and later became a significant leader within the BJP.
Nayab Saini’s leadership has been widely acknowledged, as the BJP achieved remarkable success under his guidance in the recent elections. His simple nature and determination have earned him a reputation as a people’s leader, and today, as he takes oath for the second time as Haryana’s Chief Minister, it marks another milestone in his political career.
