Mandya, Karnataka: In a decisive move to address the recent unrest in Nagamangala, Mandya district, Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy visited the area on September 13, following a violent incident triggered by stone pelting at a Ganapati procession on September 11.

During his visit, Kumaraswamy conducted a thorough assessment of the situation and expressed his surprise at the scale of the disturbance. He reassured the public that the situation was under control but emphasized his disappointment with the recent violence. In his address, he advocated for communal harmony, urging that communities should live together as “brothers and sisters.” He highlighted the importance of maintaining a peaceful environment and promised to review all information before providing further updates.

Kumaraswamy praised the efforts of local authorities, including the Superintendent of Police and the District Administration, for their effective response to the violence.
