Gagan Narang, the London Olympics bronze medalist and leader of the Indian delegation at the Paris Olympics, praised the performance of Indian athletes at the Paralympic Games on Friday. India has so far won 25 medals at the Paralympics, including five gold, nine silver, and 11 bronze, placing them 16th in the medal table.
When asked about his analysis of the Paris Paralympics, Narang mentioned that he has not yet reviewed it thoroughly. At a press event at the Press Club of India, Narang said, “I haven’t analyzed the Paris Olympics yet. Everyone has been talking about it. But the most important thing right now is that we are performing well at the Paralympics. We are currently in 14th place.”
Narang highlighted that Indian athletes have delivered an outstanding performance at the Paralympics, surpassing the number of medals won at the Tokyo Paralympics. He expressed optimism that more medals are expected as the games continue.
