Jharkhand Suspends Mobile Internet for Competitive Exam to Prevent Malpractice

The Jharkhand government has announced a two-day suspension of mobile internet services across the state during the Jharkhand General Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination (JGGLCCE). The suspension, aimed at preventing any malpractice during the exam, will last from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on 21st and 22nd September.

The decision was made to ensure the examination is conducted in a free, fair, and transparent manner, according to an official statement. In previous instances, unscrupulous individuals were found to use mobile applications like WhatsApp, Telegram, and YouTube to engage in unfair practices during exams, the statement noted.

By temporarily disabling mobile internet, data, and Wi-Fi connectivity, the state government hopes to eliminate any loopholes that could compromise the integrity of the recruitment process and prevent any law and order issues.

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission will conduct the exam at 823 centers, with 6.40 lakh candidates expected to appear.
