A potential train derailment was averted on Saturday when unknown miscreants tampered with a railway track near Kim Railway Station in Surat, Gujarat.

According to reports from ANI, citing the Western Railway’s Vadodara Division, the culprits removed the fish plate and some keys from the UP line track, later placing them back inappropriately on the same track near Kim railway station. Fortunately, train services were promptly restored.


In a related development, the foundation work for eight bullet train stations in Gujarat was completed on September 19. Bullet train project director Pramod Sharma announced that bullet train technology has officially arrived in India, emphasizing the progress made under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

“The bullet train technology has come to India. We are advancing through the ‘Make in India’ initiative. It is our duty to keep the media informed about our progress, as we receive positivity and support through this,” Sharma stated, as reported by ANI.
