Early this morning at 5:50 AM, two coaches of the Somnath Express derailed in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The derailment occurred just 200 meters before the train was set to reach the platform. Fortunately, no casualties or damage have been reported so far.

The train, traveling from Indore to Jabalpur, was approaching the station when the incident happened. The affected coaches were part of the train’s AC section. Despite the dramatic nature of the derailment, all passengers are reported to be safe, and no injuries have been reported.

Harshit Shrivastava, the Chief Public Relations Officer of West Central Railway, stated that the train was moving at a slow speed when the two coaches came off the tracks. Emergency response teams, including senior railway officials, arrived promptly at the scene. They are working to get the derailed coaches back on the tracks and restore normal services.

The derailment has caused temporary disruption to the main line. The affected coaches have been detached from the rest of the train, and recovery operations are underway. The incident happened around 150 meters from the station, and the situation is under control with no reported harm to passengers.
