Sweden Bans Screen Use for Children Under Two Years Old

Sweden has implemented a ban on screen use for children under the age of two. The government’s guidelines state that children should not be allowed to use any screens, including televisions and mobile phones. For children aged two to five, the guidelines recommend a maximum of one hour of screen time per day, while those aged six to twelve are allowed up to two hours. Teenagers should limit their screen time to a maximum of three hours per day. Excessive screen use has been found to negatively impact sleep quality.
